Caroline Crowley

MBACP
Counselling

Caroline is a qualified counsellor who sees individuals and couples for both short and long-term counselling.

Having trained at Wessex Counselling Service in Frome and Somerset Centre for Counselling in Taunton (both affiliate members of Westminster Pastoral Foundation), Caroline went on to work as a counsellor for WCS for 7 years before setting up in private practice.

Caroline uses the Psychodynamic model of counselling which looks at patterns of thinking and relating that are often based on our earliest experiences. We may not question these patterns or even be aware of them, however, they often influence the way we feel and react to events throughout our lives.
By exploring some of these dynamics, underlying patterns can be better understood, creating new pathways to lasting change.

As a therapist, Caroline offers a safe and private space allowing freedom to talk in complete confidence without fear of being judged.

At times causes of distress are obvious, as with bereavement or relationship breakdown. At other times the origins may not be as clear, but the feelings experienced can be as painful.

The initial appointment offers an opportunity to explore the reasons for coming to counselling and to discuss the best way forward.

Whether short or long-term counselling is decided for, each session lasts 50 minutes and will be at the same time each week.

As an accredited member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists, Caroline adheres to the BACP ethical framework for good practice in counselling and psychotherapy.

I charge £40 per session but may offer concessions that can be negotiated at the initial appointment.
